Objectives
The key objectives of the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery are to:
- Foster new scientific approaches that integrate biotechnology, nanotechnology and information technology through interdisciplinary collaboration
- Build on the university’s cluster hiring program
- Establish educational components that will integrate cross-disciplinary science into K-12, undergraduate and graduate education
- Facilitate the invention of technologies that can be transferred to the marketplace and create jobs.
